Within De Groot Technical Services we recognize the importance of viewing ‘first hand’ how the agricultural products we are working with actually perform under field conditions.

In addition to fortnightly technical and product training sessions the consultancy team make two to three field visits each year. The purpose of these visits is to inspect trials such as product comparisons, efficacy results and other treatments.

During January Simon, Nerida, Stellina and Judith visited sites on the central Darling Downs inspecting herbicide and insecticide evaluations in a range of summer broadacre crops.

This ‘hands on’ experience is invaluable back in the office when reviewing the data, teasing out conclusions and developing the use recommendations that will appear on the registered product label.
