Importing & Exporting Regulations | De Groot Technical Services

All plants and animals or parts or extracts thereof arriving at Australia's entry points are required to meet quarantine conditions administered by Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service ( AQIS). Companies involved in the import or export of particular products as defined under the quarantine legislation will require approval from AQIS.

Two circumstances where AQIS approval is necessary are;

• An AQIS import permit for any product containing a biological ingredient.
• Instrument of Approval for the use of chemical compounds such as cleaning products, sanitisers and
disinfectants in registered export meat establishments.

At De Groot Technical Services we are able to assist you in understanding the AQIS requirements and advise on the data necessary to secure AQIS approval. We are also able to prepare and lodge the submissions necessary to secure these AQIS approvals and import permits.
