There is little doubt that the Australian regulatory system is well regarded world wide for its effectiveness built on good science, a sensible approach to risk assessment and management and efficient processes. Whilst Australia shares a mostly similar portfolio of pesticides and veterinary medicines to many other countries, the actual range of chemicals authorised in Australia  will differ due to different climatic conditions, pest pressures, marketing decisions by chemical companies and of course the legislation in place.
